“Charlotte will share truths and dispel myths about Common Core, so families can come together in knowledge, action and voices for education.” Common Core is a set of national academic standards for designated subjects, currently, Mathematics and English Language Arts/literacy (ELA).
These learning goals outline what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade throughout their K-12 education. The standards were created to ensure all students graduate from high school with knowledge and skills to be college and career ready.
