If you did leave school and you don’t want to enroll in adult school, there is a test you can take that is equivalent to the high school diploma. That is the GED exam. If you’re thinking of dropping out of high school because you think that the GED exam is easier, then think again! According to the website, “you need to pass 150 but there are some states that [are] letting people pass with just 145!” There are at least four subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. According to the website http://study.com/articles/A_High_School_Diploma_v_the_GED.html, the questions range from multiple choice and short-form answers to response question and answer format. Unless you really need to drop out of high school, it is my recommendation that you stay in high school so that you don’t need to study constantly for the GED. From what I’ve learned about the GED, it seems like it is like the SAT exam, but of course the SAT is harder. In conclusion, try to stay in high school and get your high school diploma so that you could be proud and go on to furthering your education. If not, I do hope you could go to an adult high school rather than take the GED exam. However, it is up to you to decide.
