NHEG Events for Homeschool and Charter School Students
Throughout the school year, New Heights Educational Group holds many events for students not attending a public school. This includes events such as a school prom and a ceremony to celebrate graduating with your high school diploma or GED. To learn more information about the events we hold, please click the appropriate Learn More button to find out how you can participate and enjoy your time together with friends and family.
Enrichment Day
NHEG Enrichment Day is a special day for both eager students and their parents in which we augment the participants’ interactions in the classroom. For example, students have enjoyed History classes where the classes came to life, and they could speak to individuals that made a difference in the world.
Recognition Day
The New Heights Educational Group’s Recognition Day is a special event in which we recognize all the hard work that has been accomplished throughout the year. This includes recognizing our NHEG volunteers, teachers/tutors, our partners and sponsors and, more importantly, the students and their academic accomplishments.
National School Choice Week
Every January, National School Choice Week raises public awareness of the different K-12 education options available to children and families. NSCW recognizes all K-12 options, including traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling.
School Bag Giveaway
Before the school year begins, NHEG runs the School Bag Giveaway, an event to help local children get access to all the school supplies they will need. This includes school bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, crayons and more. For the last two years, we have given away over 100 school bags.
