Judges Comments:

  • The pandemic has accelerated and worsened equity gaps in education and has deepened the divide in our communities. The work that NHEG is doing is truly wonderful. To think that everyone at NHEG is an all-volunteer staff is truly remarkable. Please keep up that great work and know that your work is making a difference.
  • This is amazing work. A lot of students are ignored and left behind if they are unable to catch up in traditional schools due to a lot of reasons. Everyone needs a fair chance to learn and your effort is doing the same. Keep the good work going!

NHEG Executive Director Pamela Clark, stated, “We are honored by this recognition, and NHEG has been a rare gem since it was created June 1, 2006. It’s amazing to work with positive volunteers from around the world who are invested in change. They share our vision that everyone deserves a fair and equal education if they are willing to work for it. Our volunteers work so hard to make the world a better place. They are all heroes and fit its definition well: ‘a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.’ I’m truly blessed by our 77 volunteers, my family’s support and all the volunteers who have helped us build this extraordinary organization.”

More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

“We are so pleased that we will be able to stage our first ABA awards banquet since 2019 and to celebrate, in person, the achievements of such a diverse group of organizations and individuals,” said Maggie Miller, president of the Stevie Awards.
