It’s August and that means we are a month away from starting a new school year and it also means a end of your summer NHEG writing contest. That is what kids, we are kicking off the school season with a writing contest and the title of this contest is “Summer Educational Experience“. What does this mean? Simple, write us a 300 word essay about an educational experience you participated in while on summer vacation, sorry finding out how fast a roller coaster goes does not count. This might include going to summer camp and learning to rough it in the great out doors, going to museum (art, history, science, nature etc.), or even going to another country and enjoying the sites and sounds that they have to offer.
Of course, if you had more than one educational experience then write that up as well because the more entries you submit the better chance you have to win. There is a entry fee for your submission, it is $5 for the first one and $3 for each additional submission and the winner of this contest will receive a cash prize and have their essay posted on our website and in a upcoming NHEG newsletter. Of course, we get a lot of submissions we could determine a 2nd and 3rd place winners in this contest as well.
It is that simple so lets get writing as the deadline for your entry(s) is September 30th.
