Welcome NHEG Board Members – Kiyoko Green & Sheila Wright

The New Heights Educational Group voted in two new board members during a special meeting held on October 15, 2017; they are Kiyoko Green & Sheila Wright.  Both Kiyoko and Sheila have been long time volunteers of the organization., and were sworn in during the meeting. Both women had already held  leaders role within the organization.

NHEG Board Member – Kiyoko Green

Kiyoko Green is assistant virtual developer director (AVDD) of compiling educational resources into teacher/tutor resource documents, document creation, donate clearly database, Google account assistant.  Kiyoko Green has a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  She has worked in finance for over 30 years as a project manager/business analyst.  She brings her experience and skills to assist New Heights Education in the development and documentation of processes, and compiling and organizing data. 

NHEG Board Member – Sheila Wright

Sheila Wright is assistant virtual developer of proofreader/editing of website and is a tutor with the organization.  Sheila lives in Southern California and has been a community college writing professor for over 10 years. She earned her MFA in creative writing from Chapman University and a BA in English from CSU Northridge. During her time as a graduate student, she tutored students in the university’s writing center, and worked as an instructional aid for a parent participation preschool. Before her foray into education, she worked for seven years as a managing editor for automotive magazines.

Pamela Clark, executive director, said, “They were the obvious choice. We are so happy to see them as part of the board. They have certainly earned it and I’m sure they will help NHEG reach new heights.”

Also during the meeting Pamela Unruh, who requested to step down due to her busy work schedule, left her position on the board. She announced that she will still stay part of NHEG as a proofreader/editor.  Pamela Clark said, “We are sorry to see her time as a board member come to to an end, but we are happy she will still be on our team.”
